New to Club Volleyball

sport of volleyball from the entry level player
to the elite athlete.

What is Juniors (Club) Volleyball?
Club Volleyball is an avenue for boys and girls (ages 9-18) to play in competitive tournaments and get advanced training.  Our players are placed on teams based on their age, skilll level, commitment and coachability.  Most tournaments offer age divisions from 12-18 with some combining age groups for the Elite and Power levels.

When are our tryouts?    
Our tryouts for 14 and Under Boys and 10-14 girls will begin late October, 2018.  Tryouts for 15-18 girls will begin early November 2018.   Times and detailed information is posted under Registration & Tryouts.

When does our season end?             
The season runs from October/November till May.  Many of our teams will continue to compete through June.

What would be your commitment?
If seleceted to play on a Carolina Islanders team, your practice commitment would be 2-3 days per week of practice for an Elite team, 2 days per week for a Power and Performance team.  Our practice training sessions are normally for 2 hours.  Practices will be in Mount Pleasant, Summerville and Goose Creek. Our teams will be required to travel out of town for 8-10 tournaments. Our tournament schedule will be released prior to tryouts.

What league and affiliations are we associated with?
Carolina Islanders is proud to be a JVA Club, with our members in USAV, JVA and some AAU.   We will be competing in the Southeast Alliance Volleyball League.  Click Here for more information on SAVL and Cick Here for more information on JVA.

What are the benefits of playing on a Carolina Islanders team?
Being part of our Islanders Family is a signifant investment of your time and money and it may not be for every player and their familiy.  Many of our players find their club season to be the most rewarding because of the bringing together of players from different school with similar goals.  The relationships that form through our parents and players through months of competing builds friendships and memories that last a life time.  The training and skills that our players experience through our program cannot be matched.  Our players will get better.  That is a guarantee!!
