With the growth and improvement of volleyball in the Low Country and Carolina Islanders, we plan to offer 3 levels of play options(Elite, Power and Regional). This will be determined after tryouts and based on the level and commitment of the teams selected.

2011-2012 Registration and Tryout Information
Tryouts can be stressful for many, so we strive to continue to improve our process. All players will be ranked in their age division of "Similar" skill level and asked about their level of commitment. At the end of the day, you must TRUST our system and our coaches to make the correct decisions. Positions may over-ride their rankings. If an age group has an abundance of players playing the same position, then a player could be moved to a different level team. Any player can play up, but not down. Players must tryout in their age group. Any player that comes to the wrong session will have to wait until their session begins. Please note USAV Age Definitions posted below. If you played up last year, you still have to try out with your age division. Absolutely, no exceptions, so please don't ask!! And yes, both try-out sessions if offered should be attended if you want a fair evaluation. After the first tryout, coaches may ask some players to attend the 2nd tryout in a higher age group.
If you are planning to tryout for with Carolina Islanders, please email us at pjcenkner@msn.com so we can place you on a tryout list to prepare for a smooth registration process.
We ask that you arrive at least 30 minutes before each of your scheduled try-out session with all the proper paperwork documents needed to complete the registration process. Players should be dressed and ready to play at the start time of each scheduled tryout session. Please note and double check to make sure that you have all of the following paperwork documents ready to submit upon trying out for Carolina Islanders.
Please be patient as forms, contracts and schedules are still being finalized. Documents should be ready to download by the end of the week to the beginning of next week. Please keep checking back regularly for updates. Thanks!

5. 2012 Signed Tournament Schedule Form (Updated 10/16/2011) -Elite teams- 13s, 14s, 16s and 17s accepted in Beast of the Southeast!)
6. Copy of player’s birth certificate
7. $50 tryout fee, payable to Carolina Islanders - No refunds will be given on tryout fees.
To expedite a quicker registration/tryout process, please mail all required documents to Carolina Islanders at 112 Guildford Drive, Goose Creek, SC 29445. Please make sure that you mail out in time for us to receive it before your scheduled tryout. A confirmation email will be sent out for all registration packets received. Even if you have not sent in the necessary paperwork or emailed the club director prior to your scheduled tryout date, please feel free to attend our tryouts. We will have all the necessary documents on hand and look forward to seeing you!
USAV Registration Process
When registering through the USAV website do NOT pay –your registration fee is PAID by the club you choose to commit to. Please click the "Submit Payment with Application" tab on the payment screen.
MULTIPLE TRYOUTS : If you are UNDECIDED of the club you plan to join and plan to attend multiple clubs for tryouts, on the registration make sure you choose UNDECIDED in the club field, you can go back in your record once you decide the club and change from undecided to the club name you chose. It is your responsibility to go back into your record and change your club once you commit to that club. If you plan to tryout with multiple clubs- you are required to notify each club director or face sanctions of tournament participation once the season begins. Once a player selects a club on the registration page, she is committed to that club for the entire season and can neither attend tryouts, nor play for another club until the end of the season unless the club director releases her. If you and your family are sure that you only want to play for us, then we welcome your dedication and commitment. However, UNDECIDED players are welcome to tryout with with us at Carolina Islanders. If an UNDECIDED player is offered and accepts a spot on an Carolina Islanders team, she will need to log back in to her USAV account to officially commit to Carolina Islanders.
