Our tryouts are complete and our teams are set! We welcome all the new comers and thank you for your trust in us. We also welcome back all our returners and we thank you for your continued loyalty and support. We understand that the tryout process this year has been difficult for all. Now that it is complete, we are looking forward to what's ahead for all our teams this season.

Steps to prepare for our Registration Process:
1. Make sure you are registered with USAV before you come to tryouts. Click here to renew/register: USAV REGISTRATION This protects you and us for insurance purposes!!!
ATTENTION!! When you register and you get to the payment section, the system seems to be confusing by only giving members the option of
paying via credit card or remitting your payment to the region. Please, do NOT pay by Credit Card or remit payment to the region. Each club will remit payments on its members and coaches, same as last year.
2. Copy of your Birth Certificate, even if you played with CI last year!
3. Signed 2010 Carolina Islanders Parent/Parent Contract (Only the Remittal Form has to be turned in) click here to download form

7. $75 tryout fee - Checks should be made payable to Carolina Islanders Volleyball . Please mail all forms and tryout fee to Carolina Islanders at 112 Guildford Drive, Goose Creek, SC 29445.
8. Please read if you plan on doing MULTIPLE TRYOUTS : IF you are UNDECIDED of the club you plan to join and plan to attend multiple clubs for tryouts, on the registration make sure you choose UNDECIDED in the club field, you can go back in your record once you decide the club and change from undecided to the club name you chose. It is YOUR responsibility to go back into your record and change your club once you decide. If you plan to tryout with multiple clubs- you are required to notify each club director or face sanctions of tournament participation once the season starts. You MUST come to the tryout in your age group. Here is the link to the USAV age group definitions: http://www.palmettovb.com/juniors/Juniors.asp Basically what age you turn before Sept 1st of next year is what you are. For example, if you are 16 now but you turn 17 in June, 2009 (turning 17 before Sept. 1st) then you qualify as a 17 year old for USAV. 95% of the time your USAV age corresponds to your grade in school. Most 8th graders are 14, freshman are 15, sophomores are 16, juniors are 17s, and seniors are 18s.

Please be prompt and with all your necessary paperwork to help us facilitate a smooth day. Remember for us to evaluate you fairly, you must attend both tryout sessions. Also, past due accounts must be settled before you can particpate in any club's tryouts.

LOCATION OF GYM FACILITIES Goose Creek Community Center, located adjacent to the Marguerite H. Brown Municipal Center on Highway 52. The address is 519A North Goose Creek Blvd.~Goose Creek, SC 29445. If you need additional information on directions only, you may call 569-4243. Abiding by the gym rules is a must at this facility, because we could lose our contract. Same as last year, no food or beverages (only water) are allowed in gym areas. Also, do not wear your court shoes from the outside to the gym floor. All athletes should have a special pair of court shoes for playing an indoor sport that are not used for everyday use.
